About Nagoya University of the Arts Japanese Language Course

Become a member of NUA community

Students enrolled in the JLC (the Japanese Language Course) will be immersed in school life as a member of the NUA community. Each student will be issued with a student ID to use facilities such as the library, sports facilities, cafeteria and classrooms. You can also have access to the Art and Design Center and theaters, where you can enjoy various arts and performances. Also, students can join university club activities after prior application screening.

You have to take at least 38 credits in compulsory subjects and 2 credits in elective subjects; a total of 40 credits or more.

Student support

Students enrolled in Nagoya University of the Arts Japanese Language Course can use facilities (sports facilities and various other classrooms) of Nagoya University of the Arts while abiding by the rules specific to each facility. They can also use the library and the cafeteria just like regular students enrolled in Nagoya University of the Arts.

Alumni discount

If the alumni of Japanese Language Course enroll at (enter) Nagoya University of the Arts, they will be exempted from the enrollment fee [¥200,000].

Housing service

Nagoya University of the Arts does not have its own dormitory. For this reason, our staff will introduce you to a real estate agent who can help you find suitable housing.
